I'm amazed at the low quality of the binding. It separated after 2 days of light use. View the pictures-- it came completely off, and the book is about to split into about 12 different sections. This is crazy. After returning it, I'll update this review with information on how good they were at returning the book.
My son loves this book and the previous book in the series, but the binding is AWFUL!!!! Luckily, I’m a book binder, so I’m repairing the book myself, but not every kid is as lucky to have this kind of crafty mom. Seriously though, I’ve never seen a more poorly bound book. Ours broke after the first day.I’m still giving it 3 stars because my son loves this series so much. I hope the third book is bound better than the first two!!!!
We returned it. The binding broke as soon as we opened it. Returned and waited for a new one. That came super fast, but once again within 5 minutes the binding broke. The book was poorly manufactured which is too bad because my daughter was super excited to read it.

If you train yourself in this state of consciousness, the life you're living right now, and discipline yourself in the esoteric lore that has survived the ages, when you die, you'll find the path to Absolute Freedom. There are many names for this Truth, so I use more generic references. Some call it Love, others call it God, and--of course--there's the title Nirvana.Without a guide to help direct you to the great light of truth, you are very likely to interpret an illusion as reality or you might simply succumb to the desires which those illusions instill. Perhaps you have unfinished business on this plane of existence. Maybe you still want to experience sex more, have a family, or help people. Maybe you died unexpectedly and you're confused and want to return to those you knew. Maybe you're angry and want to punish the world you felt treated you terribly. Everywhere the teachings of Eastern and Western ideologies blend, but the Tibetan Book of the Dead clarifies what is basically important in this life: avoid afterlife retrogression, break the cycle of necessity, and become One.For a greater appreciation of these concepts, I recommend the writings of Manly Hall (namely "Death to Rebirth: Five Essays by Manly Hall"), a translation of the Corpus titled The Way of Hermes, Jewish mystic teachings found in the Bahir and the Sefer Yetzirah, Platonic and Neoplatonic philosophy that can be found in the Dialogues and The Enneads, and, of course, the Egyptian Book of the Dead.
Newer edition of the old Evans-Wentz favorite. Added forward, original text intact. Good bet for those of us who have lost their original copy and can't afford a first edition, new or otherwise..
There are far better versions of this book out there written by exiles from Tibet. I'm sure ol Walt had great intentions, but the first five pages of this book made my head want to explode with all the footnotes, parenthetical and asides.
Still reading it again for the first time in years. Heavy duty but relevant with respect to thinking of the important issues of life and death. Of course it's a magnificent classic. I love this book for the fact that helps me keep track of all the characters, remember the plots associated and most importantly, remember the names and the clans! I love the show but struggle with the many plots and names. This author has done a great job in capturing the plots in short and effective language. Great effort.
I think it is always good to have a recap on the story line and know more about the entire game of thrones word. As an avid fan, I found this book to be rather refreshing as it is something different from the other books.Interesting stuff and is suitable for beginners
If I were the author i'd have been embarrassed to put my name on it, because this book is a mess. Basically a scene by scene, wildly out of order description of the (TV) version of events and characters from "Thrones". The book is littered with misspellings, incorrect punctuation and warped grammer, full of idiotic mistakes and mawkish misinterpretations of the most basic story elements. Provides no new take on "Thrones" and nothing a die-hard fan probably doesn't already realize. There are several other books about "Thrones" that are better then this one, such as "GOT Season one Ultimate unofficial guide" and "Winter is coming: Symbols and hidden meanings in GOT". While these other books are by no means masterful works on their own they are still much more interesting and well written then this ebook..

The only draw back is there are no photos of the characters.

There are so many grammatical errors in this. I guess it's an Ebook that became published somehow. I was expecting WAY more.
