My husband and I just got back from Puerto Rico after having stayed at the Copamarina Beach Resort in Guanica and then at the Gallery Inn in Old San Juan. I found the guide helpful, but a little too enthusiastic in its descriptions. The book provides a lot of good information about hotels and restaurants that we might not have found without it. We rented a car to go to Copamarina. For a trip across the island, the map we got from Hertz was much more useful than the one included in the book.
An ideal guide. I pulled the map out of the back of the book and carried it with me while touring Old San Juan on foot for a short day on a cruise port stop. Combining info I found in the book along with a walking tour I found online - I charted a course for seeing as much of the city as I could. It was a long day but absolutely beautiful. I think I'm in love with Old San Juan and can't wait to go back. The guidebook was a valuable resource while planning my day trip to PR.
The map was helpful, otherwise, we found information to be wrong or outdated- or completely excluded. We got better "inside" information from the front desk of our hotel.
Great book, too bad we didn't get to use the information since our travel dates were 9/2017 and the hurricanes forced us to cancel the trip. With the damage to the island, obviously look for a reprint/revised edition of any San Juan travel guide.
While most of the information can be found online, this book did a nice job of putting everything in one place. The best part was that it lists hours for each attraction listed, which ended up being VERY helpful. I'd recommend for PR first-timers.
was a good reference and used during my visit to Pueto Rico. But of course it was not the only one, many others are need, and free ones can be picked up when you get there. But worth buying

the book was outdated. I tried to follow some of the set up ideas and found myself frustrated. Then I thought maybe Evernote had updated its sofware in between when I first got it years ago and now. I decided to upgrade so could use more features. The book is ok but outdated.
This book is a must for Evernote users. Even though I had been using the app for a couple years, there were so many functions I was not aware of. This is detailed and nicely presented—good screenshots and step-by-step instructions. I refer to it often as I use Evernote all the time.
This is a really good book to explain some of the features to handle your stuff in Evernote. The stack feature is a hidden from most manuals and could be useful for additional organization of your family data.

I love that it is digital so I can take it with me anywhere. I don't normally pay this much for a digital book but I think it will be well worth the money.

Love this book! I have Evernote, wanted to use it for genealogy but never felt comfortable with it and gave up. I've been having trouble getting a filing system and read books on that also but was so depressed because I couldn't find something that suited me and I was wondering if I was able to pull it all together so I can do what I love, which is find and honor my ancestors. After reading this book I am so optimistic I can't wait to get started on arranging my files that have been waiting for me. I never knew there were so many possibilities. I recommend this book to any genealogist, even if your not a computer person or you're happy with your current system. There's something for everybody here. Also an easy read because I love her humor!

British scholar Lawrence lends his archaeological expertise to The IVP Atlas of Bible History (published in the U.K. as The Lion Atlas of Bible History). With history in the title, one may get the impression that this Bible atlas does what others do not. It is, however, very traditional in its coverage and presentation. Full-color, high-quality maps and photos are predominant throughout and are organized chronologically. The 90-plus maps are colorful, clear, and often large enough to prevent eyestrain, and many users will find the one map for every two pages ratio plentiful enough to meet their needs. Alongside the maps is an ample amount of text, which is typical of Bible atlases. What is not typical is the narrative way Lawrence presents his text. The bulk of the text is quite readable but may have only a loose connection to the map that accompanies it--often appearing as a paraphrased retelling of scripture. The information is interesting but may not answer geographical questions posed by the average user of an atlas. In many Bible atlases, photos are small and sparse. Here, however, the photos are as numerous as the maps and, in many cases, larger. Not surprisingly, the majority of them have archaeological significance (e.g., an eleventh-century BCE clay coffin, an Egyptian temple, the Roman Colosseum). The usefulness of the photos to users is questionable, though, considering their primary need for a good map.A respectable Bible atlas from recent years is the Carta Bible Atlas (4th edition, 2002; previously known as The Macmillan Bible Atlas), which supplies three times as many maps as the InterVarsity atlas, albeit not in full-color. It may be preferred by libraries needing an atlas to fill the map gap. However, those desiring a nonacademic, readable, and visually pleasing Bible atlas will find The IVP Atlas of Bible History a worthwhile tool for most public library users. This atlas is an invaluable resource for any serious study of the bible. Care in incorporating the latest scholarship along with large full color topographical maps, chronological charts and brilliant pictures bring the geography and historicity of bible to life. If you thought atlases were just about maps, you are mistaken. 3D cutout of battlefield terrain, satellite maps, breathtaking aerial photographs, archeological schematics and artist renditions of cities all add valuable visual input and vastly enhances the geographical perspective in the study of the bible. Organized to be read alongside Genesis to Revelation, it also has a substantial section covering the Intertestamental developments as well. Not a coffee table book but valuable tool in any student, pastor or bible teacher's library.
I bought this book for a class I was taking in Biblical Archeology and Geography and I couldn't be more pleased with it. The author clearly knows his material. The book is filled with facts and summaries not only of the Bible, but other belief systems of that time as well. The pictures, maps, and graphs included within the book give you a glimpse of what life may have been like for the people of the Ancient Near Eastern countries. This is an educational book without that boring feeling that you are stuck in a history class!
The Atlas of Bible History was one that I ordered for a homebound student when the classroom teacher could not spare one for the student to use at home. The book arrived quickly and was in excellent condition.

This is one of the most beautiful Bibles. The cover is very lovely brown with gold edged pages. It was bought for and given to my son-in-law. It was an item from his wish list and he was very pleased.
I really like this book!! It is head and shoulders better than the usual Bible atlases, with excellent general, archaeological, meteorological and geological details. It encompasses a broad span of time, from creation to the Roman destruction of Jerusalem in 70 ad. Great large format pictures, too.This is comparable in quality to the Operation World series from IVP in print, or the more highly detailed DVD pro version, although these are views into every nation in the world, not just the Holy Land.Rick B, Chicagoland

I don’t take time to write reviews very often, but I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to share how incredible the information is in this book. I have dated countless men and continue to hit dead ends when all I want is one healthy, long-lasting relationship. I get to experience the great relationship he advocates.My motivation for reading this book was to look for areas in my own my life that may undermine my own efforts to make my own woman’s heart feel safe, secure and drenched with love. I highly recommend this book.With that in mind (and although lengthy), I would like to offer my thoughts about the book. You’ll find I share just about everyone of his insights.INTRODUCTIONI recognize that as a man, I set the tone for the quality of the relationship by the way I carry myself. When I don’t find the right kind of woman, I am tempted to settle for less. I don’t want that either. And although it may feel like we are rare and hard to find, truth is, we are here, and when I meet a woman who poses Poise, Feminine Grace, Self-Respect and Playfulness — I absolutely want to win her for life.Chapter 1: How to Date a Man and get His Love and Respect 1. Standards, hers and mine, communicate that the quality of the relationship matters and makes creating the inseparable emotional bond so much easier.2. Unfortunately, in the past, when I was emotionally interested in a woman who I know was not right for me, I also felt like a selfish fraud. I wasn’t authentic and felt more a needy boy than a man. Furthermore, even PUAs (Pick Up Artists), even those who promote being an authentic and being respectful guy, acknowledge that he can get a women to do anything as long as her emotions are triggered and her thinking brain distracted, not exactly authentic or respectful.Chapter 2: Power Dating Strategies for Finding Mr. Right10. Even if there is a handful of women I might be interested in at the time, when I meet this kind of woman that possesses this quality, I immediately become disinterested in the rest and will step up for her.11. But Bryans is completely correct when he wrote: “In the beginning stages, men are more likely to respond to you on deep, primal level if you are warm, friendly, easy-to-please, kind, deferential to his leadership, and even hesitant to commit.â€27. Femininity Wins. It’s the polarity between the masculine and feminine that makes our love stories magical.28. Yes. A high-quality man recognizes the difference between turning down a request from rejecting him. It’s invigorating for us to take initiative and lead, but also hearing “no†also allows us to show the tender side of consideration. And when the “no†becomes a “yes,†the feeling inside is something indescribable. She becomes even more precious to me.29. Absolutely Agree. Now were talking about Magic. Finally I get it - I'm precious as a woman and to get a quality man, I have to set boundaries and act like I believe it. This book made so much sense and was even better than the last dating book I read which I gave five stars to. The book was written simply without too much fanfare and hype, but it certainly got the message across. I'm changing my way of doing things and it makes me feel good about myself. I also understand the male psyche better now.

I gave this book 5 stars because it hit on a few things I was/am guilty of doing when I meet men. I am 36 years old, single and no kids and want to date but no man I meet stays around long.
We women HAVE GOT TO learn differently & start to make changes beginning with ourselves! If you are a woman with a pulse just READ this book!
I so wish I would have read this book before starting my last relationship. I made some big mistakes that this book warned against and got the exact result the book says will happen. My relationship ended, and I clearly see why.
